will i be able to pay it with just my reg number, and without the penalty notice number?
Ive lost my parking ticket, and need to pay it tomorow,?
Should be able to as they should have a record of the reg number and the place and time the offence took place.
Ive lost my parking ticket, and need to pay it tomorow,?
go to city hall, or the police station, they can look it up with your license plate i think
Reply:Every time I get a parking ticket I never pay it right away. After about 3 weeks I get a notice in the mail that says what the ticket said with another envelope for payment.
You%26#039;ll get the best answer form your courthouse. Call and ask them.
You can also forget about it and if they ever contact you play ignorant. It%26#039;s just a parking ticket. You could say never saw it. You certainly never signed it.
Good luck.
Reply:You can call the local office and make a phone payment. I got one a few months ago lost it and paid it way late and they didn%26#039;t charge me any additional fees. I think in la county they can be 60 days late.
Reply:You can either go to the courts with your plate number, you may also be able to find it online
Reply:Yep, they should have a copy...

Insurance???
im not able to drive yet, but when i turn 17 im going to be a guy with a car who needs insurance
i want to get a smart roadster, used
its a convertable and it only has two seats which means i cant take loads of mates which is obviously a risk
i live in a close in a town and the car would be in a seccured drive out back
obviously i wouldnt have any claims etc
how much would i expect to pay for insurance?
if you need other details just ask
Insurance???
A WHOLE BUNCH!!
Insurance???
My son pays about $1200 every 6 months for his car, but we live in the city.
Obviously you don%26#039;t have any claims.....yet.
If you%26#039;re asking a question like this you should provide as many details as you can.
What make is this roadster?
What year is it?
How much insurance and what coverages are you going to buy?
Do you have good enough grades to qualify for a good student discount?
Do you know that a convertible roadster will cost more to insure than a sedan? or even a small lorry?
You can call just about any insurance agent and ask. They%26#039;ll be really happy to help you.
Reply:it all depends on the car and the location where the car will be garaged. although your age is considered high risk your premiums might be high. however you will qualify for the student discounts with most auto insurance companies.

Is this correct? I heard you had 6 mo's to renew an expired Dr. Lic.?
um, don%26#039;t you have to renew a drivers license right away or you can%26#039;t drive since the license is expired and not current, right?

NO, not if you plan on driving. If you plan on driving you better have it legit or your get a nice huge ticket.

I don%26#039;t want to wait, I want to be on the road driving!! And what should I expect on the test if I take it?

Whether or not you%26#039;re in school has nothing to do with getting a drivers license.
You can take the test anytime after you turn 15 1/2.

Is this allowed with auto insurance?
If my uncle bought me a car, and the car and registration is under his name, can the insurance be under just mine or does it have to be under both?
Is this allowed with auto insurance?
If he is the registered owner and the one under the insurance just make sure that on the insurance policy that you are listed as an additional driver or else if you get in a wreck he will be held liable so just add ure self in the additional driver section
Is this allowed with auto insurance?
This is called %26quot;insurable interest%26quot;. The owner of the car MUST be named on the policy. So you both need to be on the policy.
Reply:it will have to be under him but you can be listed as a driver.
Reply:Nate W is wrong. There is no law, that says in order to insure a vehicle, that the vehicle has to be registered to to the person insuring the vehicle. I have been insuring and paying for insurance for vehicles, registered to my Bro-in-law and driven by me and my wife for 25 years

How long do I have to return NJ licence plates to DMV?
Do it ASAP. Because as soon as you cancel the insurance on that car, the insurance company notifies DMV. Then, they suspend your registration, if they don%26#039;t have the plates or proof of insurance in a certain amount of time, then your license will be suspended.
Many insurance companies will not take a car off your policy unless they have a copy of the returned plates receipt.

Reply:What is involved in getting a driver%26#039;s license? There%26#039;s no straightforward answer to that question. It depends on where you live and whether you already hold a driver%26#039;s license for another jurisdiction.
For new drivers there is normally an age requirement (usually 16 or 17 years in the USA and Canada). There is also a medical check, which is usually a simple vision test to see if your eyes have the minimum capability. And most places have a road test, to see if you can actually drive a vehicle well enough to operate in traffic.
Those are the basics. But the details of getting a drivers license vary from place to place around the world. Countries such as Germany and Japan start drivers at a later age (18 years in Germany) and have rigorous training and education requirements. And there are still places where getting a driver%26#039;s license is as simple as applying for a permit to practice on public roads, waiting a few days, and then taking a very simple road test which may consist of little more than a drive around the block.

How many different license plates can be made if only digits can be used, and no digit can be used more than o
please please help, i dont understand, explain as well
thankss ! :)
How many different license plates can be made if only digits can be used, and no digit can be used more than o
Assuming 6 numbers in the license plate, you have 10 digits to choose from for the first number (the digits 0 through 9), then 9 digits to choose from for the second number (because you can%26#039;t re-use the first number), then you have 8 digits to choose from for the third number, etc...
Therefore, once you multiply how many choices you have together to account for the entire license plate of 6 numbers, you get 10 * 9 * 8 * 7 * 6 * 5 = 151200 different plates.

Not sure how it works in your state but in Texas you can get a hardship license at 15 if you can prove you truly need a car. Try asking the DMV in your state what you can do if you absolutely need a license.

I am going to take my written test tomorrow. Is there anything important I need to turn in or show or do?
its not that simple. A really big thing today is Idenity theft so when you go to the dmv you must have a valid origional copy of: Birth Certificate
Social Security Card
and if your over 18you%26#039;ll 2 proofs of address like bill%26#039;s %26amp; stuff . Under 18 you need a parent to sign for you. Other than that be sure you memorised EVERYTHING in the test b/c they have 2 or 3 really hard / kindof trick questions. But as long as you get 15 out of 18 of the questions right, you%26#039;ll pass
GOOD LUCK!!!
check out WWW.PENNDOT.COM
everything you need to know is there including practice tests and things you have to bring in order to even take the test!

If you hit a pole and insurance has to help pay to fix your car, doesnt the dmv get informed?
sure they do even more the cops would report it also
If you hit a pole and insurance has to help pay to fix your car, doesnt the dmv get informed?
The DMV probably asks for a CLUE (Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange) report periodically, which the insurance companies report data to, even if you do not receive a citation/ticket for the accident. Here%26#039;s some more information about this type of report:
%26quot;The C.L.U.E. 庐Personal Property report provides a seven year history of losses associated with an individual and his/her personal property. The following data will be identified for each loss: date of loss, loss type, and amount paid along with general information such as policy number, claim number and insurance company name.
The C.L.U.E. 庐Auto report provides a seven year history of automobile insurance losses associated with an individual. The following data will be identified for each loss: date of loss, loss type, and amount paid along with general information such as policy number, claim number and insurance company name. %26quot;
You can find more information, and obtain your CLUE report, here: http://www.choicetrust.com/servlet/com.k...
If you hit a pole and insurance has to help pay to fix your car, doesnt the dmv get informed?
In CA, DMV only gets notified if the damages are over $750.
Reply:Having insurance pay for the repair is one option. But that isn%26#039;t necessarily cheaper, because you%26#039;ll only have to then fork out:
- The deductible for the repair, typically $250-$500
- The increased insurance premium for 3 years from having made a claim AND gotten a point on your DMV record.
Now is that really cheaper than paying the repair yourself? It may be, but it%26#039;s worth checking into it.
Reply:If there is a police report, the DMV is informed. It depends on your state if the insurance company has to report it to the DMV. If you damaged the pole, there is probably a police report. Your insurance company will have to pay for the pole. Last I heard poles are in excess of $5,000.

I left the keys to my car in the front door of my house and my car was stolen. Will insurance cover this?
I parked my car in my driveway and accidentally left the keys in the front door my HOUSE. Several hours later I discovered my car gone. I realized I left the keys in the front door because they were missing. Ive heard that insurance will not cover if you leave keys in the CAR or if you leave your car door unlocked but does this count? To top things off, this is the second car I%26#039;ve had stolen. I reported it stolen right away and filed a claim. I am waiting to hear back from my insurance.
I left the keys to my car in the front door of my house and my car was stolen. Will insurance cover this?
I hope you omitted the %26quot;left my keys in my door%26quot;. And I really hope you%26#039;ve changed your locks.
But no. You%26#039;re at fault. Insurance doesn%26#039;t generally cover stuff like that.
I left the keys to my car in the front door of my house and my car was stolen. Will insurance cover this?
If you have full coverage they have to pay. Thats why you pay your insurance every month, for times like this.
Reply:maybe you should ;eave that part out? unless you already copped when you filed the police report. maybe you lost your keys and didn%26#039;t realize you might have dropped them until it was too late?
Reply:Move out of the ghetto
Reply:Well the insurance company will probably look at the police report and go from there. However, i would be worrying more about what other keys you had on there. If you had a house key, change your locks. You don%26#039;t want anything else stolen, especially not from inside your house.
Reply:That would have to be some really bad karma to have 2 vehicles stolen. Repo%26#039;d I%26#039;d believe, but being a victim of a stolen vehicle twice is really hard to believe anymore.
Reply:You are probably going to run into some issues here. There will be red flags all over this claim so the insurance is going to run you through the proverbial mill.
1. The odds of the same person having two cars stolen is 1 in a billion.
2. The odds of somebody seeing or finding your keys in the house door are probably even higher. 1 in a trillion.
If the claim is found to be legit your claim will be paid. There is no rule/law/policy provision that says a theft claim will not be covered if you leave the car unlocked or if you leave the keys in the car. I have paid a ton of claims over the years where the owner left the keys in the ignition. Don%26#039;t take it personally, but there is an old claim adjuster saying %26quot;you can%26#039;t deny a claim because of stupidity.%26quot;
You can expect a very thorough investigation from the insurance companies Special Investigation Unit (SIU) and it won%26#039;t be fun. However, if what you are telling us is the truth you will eventually get paid, but it won%26#039;t be easy.
Good Luck, you%26#039;re gonna need it.

Is getting into a car accident and having two tickets bad?
I%26#039;ve been driving for 6 months and have already gotten tow tickets and just recently got into a car accident that didn%26#039;t involve any other drivers... is this bad? am i a worse driver than most young teenagers?
Is getting into a car accident and having two tickets bad?
That%26#039;s pretty bad driving for a beginner! lol watch those points on your license and how many accidents you get into, you could end up with your license suspended really fast. Your insurance must not like you at all though, 2 tickets and an accident in only 6 months? Be careful out there!!! Just drive more carefully, don%26#039;t speed and pay attention to the road.
Is getting into a car accident and having two tickets bad?
it depends on the tickets you got if they were just parking tickets, then they really don%26#039;t matter . If they were moving violations like running a light or stopsign, or speeding then they put points on your record which isn%26#039;t good. But ya know what Practice makes perfect!!! Your still a new driver. Give it some time and you%26#039;ll be driving like a pro.
Reply:At 6 months, everything you learned in school should be with you, and you should be better than the average driver. Getting two tickets shows you aren%26#039;t paying attention, and the accident is just the frosting on the cake proving you aren%26#039;t paying attention.
In some states getting over a certain number of points in a year revokes your license. Maybe it%26#039;s time to review what you should have learned in drivers ed.
Reply:Are you kidding?? I%26#039;ve been driving for over 20 years %26amp; I%26#039;ve got no tickets, 1 accident that wasn%26#039;t my fault.
Hope this answers your question!
Reply:yes that is pretty bad. you are probably pretty close to loosing your license. I would check with your DMV to find out the specifics of that. Be more carefull out there!
I%26#039;ve been driving for like 9 years and have no tickets and no accidents that were my fault. i was rearended twice while stopped at red lights.

No you do not. At least in Illinois you don%26#039;t. I got mine the day i turned 16.
Do i have to wait one year and one FULL day after getting my learners license?
Depends on the rules for your country, or state if you are in the US, some only require you hold the permit for 6 months. No one can answer because you neglected to say where you are.
Reply:i never heard of having to wait a year i know you have to at least complete a certin amount of driving hours since your under 18. In my state it%26#039;s 6 weeks not a year, but i think all states are different. Who told you that your parents? Cause if they did than maybe they want you to wait.

Insurance rate increse without any accident or ticket.?
I have Farmers insurance for about 3 years. No tickets, no accidents so far. Every time I get the invoice it%26#039;s about $20-25 higher than the one before (as I said, no tickets, no accidents). I can%26#039;t tell I like it. I understand that the rates can go up but all the time (even it%26#039;s not that significant)?! I was thinking about switching to the different company, but maybe they all do that?
Insurance rate increse without any accident or ticket.?
They do not all do that.
Insurance rate increse without any accident or ticket.?
The increase you mention is probably just due to increases in the cost of everything (car parts, medical, labor). You don%26#039;t mention the percentage increase, so it%26#039;s hard to tell.
Reply:time to look at your FICA insurance companies will use this not as a reason (they don%26#039;t need one) I put up with this for 2 years and then changed companies. Loyalty is not rewarded in the auto ins. game unless you know where your broker lives........
Reply:It%26#039;s not always like that, Farmers is one of the highest insurance companies around...just like State Farm.
Insurance goes up in different areas due to crime. If your community (zip code) has a high rate, your insurance will be affected.
Reply:I have state farm, and my rates have NEVER increased in the 3 years I have been insured with them, well except for when I moved to a new state. They actually have decreased from time to time.
Some reasons insurance goes up is because of things getting more expensive. If you hit a new car now and total it, it will cost more to replace than a few years ago. Things like that. Another reason is because there have been statistically more accidents in your state compared to last year. They raise the rates then to make up for having to pay out more money. You should talk to people in your area about this to see if the same thing happens to them. If it doesn%26#039;t, then switch companies.
last year, state farm sent me a rebate check because there were statistically less accidents in my area, and they passed the savings on to the customers. It was like 35 bucks. my rates also dropped on my next renewal period.
Oh, and to the person above that said state farm was one of the highest/most expensive insurance companies.... they were the cheapest for me, almost half the cost for the same policy as geico and progressive, along with countless other companies i received quotes from.
Reply:Farmers Insurance has some of the highest rates in insurance yet it is the company is rated the Worst. Switch companies before you have to file a claim!!!

Online Driver's Ed?
If I took the test that comes with the online course that Im taking, does that mean that I passed the written portion of my Drivers Ed?
Or do I still have to take another one at the DMV?
If I pass the test online, do I just hand the form to the DMV and continue with my Behind The Wheel?
IM SO CONFUSED!

Got in an auto accident, their lawyer wants my liability coverage info, good idea to give it?
Small dent on my car, hit the rear corner panel of her car doing about $2000 worth of damage. Her and her friend are taking advantage of a situation to abuse my insurance and are making claims. Should I give this information up?
Got in an auto accident, their lawyer wants my liability coverage info, good idea to give it?
definately give them the number to your insurance company, let the ins. co. deal w/ it from there. if you don%26#039;t they might try to pursue a lawsuit against you instead of the ins. company. was there a police report? if not, then i am not sure how the law works, but if so, they probably have all the info they are going to need, the police should have exchanged all info. Good luck : )

They are trying figure out how much to settle/sue for based on your insurance policy limits. You are completely in your rights not to release that information unless they get a court order.
You pay enough money for insurance, call your company and let them deal with the other driver and their attorney.
Reply:It is proof you have coverage. There is dick all they can do with it. The ladies may try to take advantage of the insurance, but the insurance do not give out money easily....if at all. They need proof, and proof to back up the proof. It is not your worry.
Reply:No. You should let your agent handle this.
Reply:Do NOT give your policy limits. Refer them to your insurance company (I am assuming you reported this). Give them the phone # %26amp; your claim # %26amp; that is it.

Do police in Calgary Alberta report car accidents to car insurance companies?
Hi All - Got myself into some trouble with a fender bender. Unfortunately I rear ended someone. There was minor damage to the other driver%26#039;s bumper and I agreed to pay for the damages out of my pocket. And he agreed not to tell my insurance company. We also ended up filing a police report. I%26#039;m a little worried the police will tell my insurance company and my rates will still go up, even if I pay for the damages myself.
Do police in Calgary Alberta report car accidents to car insurance companies?
Insurance company will find out because they are plugged into the data base. They probaly will raise your rates even though your accident didn%26#039;t cost them a dime. The insurance companies could give lessons to Shylock when it comes to greed. Oh, and by the way, your points (if any) will come off your license in a couple of years. But the insurance company has a long memory and will continue to charge extra on premium.(one of the questions they probably asked when you first signed up was %26quot;Have you had any tickets in the last FIVE years%26quot;)

However, places are not legally allowed to accept these other ID cards as proof of age when buying cigarettes, alocohol, R rated DVDs, etc.
So, it would just be better to get your ID from the DMV.
Reply:You probably can but you shouldn%26#039;t

If you have a car accident and its not your fault but you don't have car insurance what can happen?
big fat fine after you get out of jail
If you have a car accident and its not your fault but you don%26#039;t have car insurance what can happen?
You will be made to get SR22 insurance and may get fined depending on your state. Research the SR22 insurance. It is a pain, but without paying it , you could lose your driving privileges.
If you have a car accident and its not your fault but you don%26#039;t have car insurance what can happen?
If the accident is determined to not be your fault, you are probably looking at a ticket for driving without insurance. The penalty will vary from state to state.
Reply:For automobile insurance the obvious way to get a fantastic rate is do a rate comparison on car policies. Make certain that you compare similar policies with the same limits, car model, zip code, etc so that all things are a good comparison.
What I usually recommend is an internet comparison quote at http://www.lowratetoday.com since they have big name insurers and will give multiple quotes on auto insurance polices.

if you got accident and you dont have insurance and is not your fault,
1st, you have to collect their data, like insurance number, driving license#,plate #,and took pictures where accident happen (like street name and cross street)
find out if there is any witness, collect the witness data.
2nd, you have to ask them to call their insurance company that belong to them NOT YOU,and let the insurance company guy talk to you,
3rd,dont give any information to them, just said that you will give the information to their insurance company and to the cop only, thats why you need to talk to them.
4th,if there is cop coming,if no victim they not gonna much involved, they just ask you that you already switch/share the information, just say yes,and ask cop to make accident report.
and give the copy of that to their insurance company.
so if you involve in accident and is not your fault but you dont have insurance, they will take care of you.
but doesnt mean is ok you drive without insurance.
drive safe,and calm your mind.
Reply:If the officer asked for your registration %26amp; proof of insurance %26amp; you are unable to provide an insurance card or flat out state to the officer that you do not have any, you will be cited for having no insurance %26amp; your state may have provisions that allows the state to suspend/revoke your license.
Reply:(USA) You may get a ticket if your state is one that requires insurance. If the other insured party is deemed at fault, your car and any injuries to you and your passengers will be covered by his/her insurance. Teenage driving?
ok so i have a new boyfriend hes 17 and he has his divers liscence....nd my mom sayz that he cant have me ride in his car cuz its against the law.... i dont think it is... in fact im almost positive its not. so the real question is: can a 17 year old with his liscence drive with a friend in the car?
Teenage driving?
It depends what state you are in...
Teenage driving?
I know in my state (florida) it is. But I heard that some states are making laws forbiding licenced drivers under 18 from driving with people under 18. To find out what the law is in your state call you local dmv or check the driver%26#039;s manual (you can find them online).
Reply:It%26#039;s illegal in CT, but hey i was driving for two years without a license(don%26#039;t ask why) and turned out to be alright.
Reply:Here is an excerpt from the Colorado law:
Minor Drivers and Passengers Bill SB 05-36
This law went into effect July 1, 2005 and regardless of when you received a license, if you are under 18 it affects you. It restricts the number of passengers in your vehicle. Basically, it says you cannot have any friends (unless they are over 21) in the car for the first six months. Not one.
Then, after that period, for the next six months you can only have one friend in the car. An exemption to this is that if you have had your license for more than a year when the law went into effect, you can drive more than one buddy around.
The other major impact of this law is that those under 18 (the holding a license for a year is at play here, too) you cannot drive between midnight and 5 a.m. So forget taking your parents%26#039; car out for a late-night joyride. Take a complete look at the law and all of the exemptions.
In your case this is a Yes %26amp; No answer.
If your bf has had his license less than 6 months then the answer is No, you cannot.
If he has had his license more than 6 months, then Yes you can, but if anyone else is with him, you can%26#039;t go since he can only have 1 other person in the car with him.

Does their insurance have to pay What ever it cost to fix my car.?
I have a 97 honda civic I got hit in the back by a 2004 f-150. the cost to fix my car is 3,500 does their insurance have to pay. also my car had a body kit and after market tail lights. do they have to pay for that or are they just going to pay for the original ones.
Does their insurance have to pay What ever it cost to fix my car.?
If it is repaired, it would be put in the condition it was in prior to the accident.
Does their insurance have to pay What ever it cost to fix my car.?
the insurance will estimate how much they have to pay to you to fix the car, usually they have their own shop,so if you want to fix the car by your self you can not just give the bill to them just like that, but they have to see and estimate the car.
and if you not agree with the price that they give it to you let them to fix it,ask them where the shop that belong to them, and let them fix the car so its look like new again,if not just get a lawyer, they not gonna charge you if you lose.
Reply:I think you will find with that much damage the insurance company will total the car.
Normally when damage exceeds 2/3rds the value of the car, they will total it and I would say that $3500 is pretty close to the mark.
If that is the case, they will pay you the market value of the car.
Also, if they do repair it, they will not put aftermarket tail lights back in it, they will only fit standard ones.
They may replace the bodykit, if it is noted on your insurance policy.
BTW, if the tail lights arent approved and certified, the insurance company may not pay out as illegal items were fitted to the car.
Reply:They don%26#039;t have to fix your car at any cost. If the cost is too high, they can simply buy you another %26#039;97 Honda Civic.
They don%26#039;t actually buy you a car, they look in the Kelley Blue Book for what that car should cost, and they give you that amount in cash. You can then buy any car you like.
As for aftermarket upgrades, that depends on your contract with the insurance company. If it%26#039;s something extraordinary, they may not be willing to cover it unless you added a %26quot;rider%26quot; to the policy to cover it.
Reply:Yes, they have to pay to put it back in the condition it was in before the accident. However, If the repairs, near or exceed the fair market value of the car, they will %26quot;total%26quot; it and pay you fair market value. Report the accident to YOUR insurance company and they can help and advise you.
Reply:OK, this is important. The other insurance company has NO DUTY OF GOOD FAITH TO YOU. If they agree to pay, they will pay the LESSER of cost to repair, or actual cash value. Find your actual cash value at www.kbb.com.
I%26#039;d guess with $3500 in repairs, your car will total out. You DO have the right to keep the car, but they will subtract SALVAGE VALUE.
That body kit and after market tail lights probably are not going to increase the value of the car, even if you paid extra for them. They do NOT pay the retail value that the kit/lights cost you.
Reply:I could not completely make certain that my answer is the ideal one for you,it should be useful though, check out here.http://car-insurance.online-tips.info/ca...

Can i get my permit in a different state?
Im 17 and I live in Indiana. Im on vacation in vegas for the summer and i really wanted to work on getting my permit while i was here in vegas. Is there anyway of me getting a permit here and then keeping it for the 60 days that I have to keep it, and then when i go back to Indy take my normal driving test and get my license there, or will i need to get my permit there too? Can anyone help me?
Can i get my permit in a different state?
NO - states do NOT recognize any other states LEARNERS permit. They only recognize drivers license.
But if you get your driver%26#039;s license in Vegas, you can then get it transferred to you home state and it will be full license (or just drive with Vegas license till you are ready to get it transferred).
Good Luck...
Can i get my permit in a different state?
No you can%26#039;t. And you can%26#039;t get a Nevada license either, like the other poster indicated, since you are not a resident of Nevada.
Nevada would recognize your IN permit if you had it already:
Visitors - Nevada honors out-of-state instruction permits. If the permit is valid in your home state, you can drive in Nevada with a licensed driver 21 years or older seated next to you. Nevada also honors out of state driver licenses, but you must follow Nevada%26#039;s restrictions.

Where can I get the cheapest auto insurance in the state of Maine??
Everyone wants the cheapest auto insurance. Everyone is constantly looking comparing this auto insurance provider with this one. It%26#039;s almost like a parlor game, isn%26#039;t it. I%26#039;ve done it too. If you%26#039;ve ever gotten a speeding ticket or have a young teenager itching to drive that you%26#039;ve just added to your policy or if you%26#039;ve been%26lt;!--involved in an accident, it can get more and more expensive, can%26#039;t it? Auto insurance is too expensive. You%26#039;re not alone. it%26#039;s true for almost every American family. You may get your queires answered here,

The problem for discounts, however, is quality. Many ask is, %26quot;Is this cheap auto insurance worth buying? What kind of coverage do I have to sacrifice for a cheaper premium?%26quot; What is a small bi-yearly or yearly or monthly bill can become astonishingly high if you cheat on your--%26gt;deductible coverage or coverage amount. You need to therefore really search the different companies for the best, most comprehensive policy. Hope is here. There are good companies out there.
Where can I get the cheapest auto insurance in the state of Maine??
It%26#039;s hard to say where you%26#039;ll be able to find the cheapest. The area you live in may cost more than the zip code right next door, the kind of car, etc. all that comes into play. Reply:Well insurance is really different for everyone, so it鈥檚 hard to say who has the cheapest because it just depends on the person. Insurance companies look at a number of different factors when determining your insurance premium such as age, location, gender, type of vehicle driven, marital status, miles driven per year, credit history, and driving record.
If you are looking for cheap auto insurance, the best thing you can do is your research. I recommend looking at 3-5 quotes from different insurance companies to see who offers you the best rate. Make sure you inquire about any special discounts a company might offer such as the good student discount or low mileage discount. The site below is a great resource because it allows you to compare quotes for all of the insurance companies in your area for free.

Getting ur drivers liscence?
the hardest part may be getting your permit because it%26#039;s a written test, I had to retake it 3 times, but you%26#039;ll get it. After that it%26#039;s easy and when you take your road test and pass you never have to do it again unless you get a DUI or something.
Getting ur drivers liscence?
Its not hard at all. The permit test is basic, you just have to use common sense to pass it. Then the actual driving test is no problem. I failed but it was stupid b/c i didn%26#039;t wait for the guy to have his seat belt on before i was going. So all you have to do is be patient and make sure the instructor says he%26#039;s ready. Then take your time, watch your speed. make sure at stop signs you come to complete stops and you%26#039;ll be done in about 5 minutes. and even if you do fail, no biggie you can retake it in a week.

Please do us all a favor man and DON%26#039;T GET ON THE ROAD with the rest of us!! Sounds like it ain%26#039;t them, it%26#039;s you! Please spare me and my children
Reply:yes you have to redo it.
You obviously aren%26#039;t practicing driving enough if you keep failing.
Look at your report and see what you need to work on and get an experienced driver to take you out.
My sister kept failing and finally I took her out and everyday for a month I made her drive everywhere with me, store, bank, shopping, starbucks, etc. When I felt she was doing well enough I told her make an appointment and she passed, she only lost like 2 points I believe.
Reply:DRIVING TEST
You ace the driving test by looking over your shoulder when backing up, looking over your shoulder when changing lanes, and looking over your shoulder when parallel parking as well as using your mirrors to do all three tasks as well.
You have to do both and keep using your rear view mirror and side mirrors as you drive forward because glancing at what is going on behind you and your potential blind spot shows the DMV tester that your aware of the road and traffic around you.
If you just look straight ahead they fail you as a potential hazard who thinks no one else is on the road because your nervous, then they know you are not confident enough to be a safe driver.

I might have a old warrant in NM from years ago and am wondering if Texas checks that stuff when you go and ID
I am sure they would have to, how else do they catch all the criminals that come out of hiding in other states?
You should probably find out and just get it over with. Good luck.
I might have a old warrant in NM from years ago and am wondering if Texas checks that stuff when you go and ID
They surely will check all state records. You will not be able to get you driver license or ID if you have a warrant. If you have the money they let you pay it, but if you go up there and don%26#039;t have the money for the warrant they will call NM to see if they will come %26amp; pic you up %26amp; take you back to NM . Just be smart about it.

I%26#039;m sorry, I don%26#039;t understand how somebody thinks they %26quot;might%26quot; have a warrant. Either you ignored a charge, so there is a warrant, or you didn%26#039;t ignore a charge.
Reply:The best thing you can do, is find and address, telephone number of the County/City/Township where you %26quot;might%26quot; have a warrant and CALL the clerk. Most old warrants and charges are easy to negotiate out of State, if anything so they can clear some things off their active records. If they request something in writing, write the letter and state your case, apologize for not acting sooner, show respect, and ask to resolve the matter.
In this day and age, it will catch up with you.

Do I have to place my son on my car insurance?
Someone told me if my car had under insured motorist it covers any one who drives it why do I need 2 put my son on it then. The insurance company says I have to but this other person has 3 kids and 2 cars fixed after they drove them with under insured motorist on his insurance. confused in TEXAS
Do I have to place my son on my car insurance?
I was told whomever drives your car is covered..... .I didn%26#039;t put my son on right away, either..he didn%26#039;t have an accident, but I did put him on eventually...
Do I have to place my son on my car insurance?
Most states, and most insurance companies require all kids, with a license, living in your household to be listed on your auto policy. The Reason is that the Insurance companies are required by law to cover any driver in the household, whether they are listed or not. If you don%26#039;t list them and they get into an accident, they will cancel you in a heartbeat
Reply:%26quot;Someone%26quot; is wrong. Don%26#039;t let them operate on you, either.
Underinsured motorist covers the people in your car, if they get hit by a different car, that has SOME insurance, but not enough to cover their injuries.
If you don%26#039;t list your son on your policy, your insurance doesn%26#039;t have to pay for your son, or your car, or the car your son hits. YOU have to pay for it all, by writing a check.
These people are giving you advice, without a license to do so. I%26#039;m quite sure that their agent has fixed things to make it right, but they have no CLUE.
Don%26#039;t take advice from people who aren%26#039;t licensed to give it. Unless they%26#039;re willing to guarantee, in writing, that they%26#039;ll write the check if they have given you bad advice, so you aren%26#039;t out of pocket.

Reply:My mother was told the same thing by Geiko when I got my license. She had to sign a waiver stating I would not drive any of the covered vehicles to keep from adding me. A few years later when she wanted to add me they would not let her and she switched insurances.

Any tips on passing the written exam for my non-professional driver's license?
I%26#039;m a Filipino citizen here in the Philippines and I%26#039;m planning to change my driver%26#039;s license from student to non-professional. I want to ask if what do they usually ask on the written exam. And can you give me any tips on passing it? Thanks!
Any tips on passing the written exam for my non-professional driver%26#039;s license?
The best thing to do is study and be prepared for any questions. I am in Australia and I found that here they will ask any questions.
Any tips on passing the written exam for my non-professional driver%26#039;s license?
There are MANY questions on the signs, their shapes and their colors. It may seem simple, but if you miss, say... 10/20, that would be totally harsh on your grade.
keep those in mind.
also, they ask what to do in the evend of a downhill parking, etc.
Don%26#039;t be afraid. It really is a common sense test. Think carefully and you%26#039;ll do great!
Reply:The exam will just be about the common traffice rules, do%26#039;s and don%26#039;ts.
Just ask some people around when you apply for the Professional Driver%26#039;s license...

Illegal immigrant hit my car claiming no paper work or insurance or anything?
The car hits me and 2 guys come out, i demanded information they aggressively refused and we almost got into a fight. Damage was on the front bumper and it was at night so i couldnt see anything wrong, yet they still refused to give me anything and provoked me also claiming they were illegal and wouldnt give me any information. I got there license plate and know where they live. This morning turns out there are like many cracks sort of like a spiderweb on the bumper with chipping paint. Its been a few days. Whats the best course of action? Doesn%26#039;t seem worth going through insurance cause i have to pay a 500$ deductable in order to get it fixed. Its minor damage not nearly worth that ammount.
Illegal immigrant hit my car claiming no paper work or insurance or anything?
You have to report it. It is considered hit and run. There%26#039;s just no way for you to get any money from them otherwise. After all they won%26#039;t even show you their insurance paper, why would they show you the GREEN backs.
Good Luck...
P.S. do it soon - there%26#039;s a limit on how long you can wait.
Illegal immigrant hit my car claiming no paper work or insurance or anything?
we%26#039;ll it seems you can only go to the insurance company and the police or you can go over there one day with a shotgun.Hope you make the right choose!!
Reply:Yeah you need to contact your local law enforcement or at least your insurance company and get this figured out ASAP. You have their information and even where they live so thats pretty much all you should be needing. Go report it and get your cars damage fixed, nobody should be driving without insurance, so if they weren%26#039;t, they should pay for the damages
Reply:4 choices: ask the police to investigate, go after them yourself, use your insurance. Support lawmakers who will stop illegals from ruining our country.
REPORT and DEPORT illegals !
Reply:I would go there tell them t hand over some green. Otherwise you will get the law involved and there going to want to see some green(greencard). Tell them either way the%26#039;re going to shoow some kind of green. If that doesnt work kick them both in the D1ck!
Reply:You have two choices - either put this claim through your insurance company (and file a police report, although odds are they won%26#039;t do anything), or let it go. Your call.

Car Crashed, 3rd party fire and theft. When can I sell it????
Hey people, as the title says really. I crashed my car (compeletly my fault) and insurance is going to pay out for the other car. Ive filled out the forms etc but was wondering when I can sell my crashed car???? Do I have to wait for the insurance company to give it a classification like %26quot;Cat C, Cat D etc%26quot; or can I go right ahead and sell it.
Any help would be greatly apprechiated.
Also Ive got 1 month left till my insurance runs out, Im going to buy another car this week and was wondering if I can get the insurance transfered over??? Or will they look to cancel my insurance because Ive crashed?
Car Crashed, 3rd party fire and theft. When can I sell it????
depends what car it is.
You can sell it to a scap yard , or if you have the time and energy strip it and sell the spares . You will probably be suprised how much you get back.
Car Crashed, 3rd party fire and theft. When can I sell it????
ebay or scrap yard or you can swap it for summit at this web site : www.swapz.co.uk
Reply:The car is yours.
You can do what you want with it. The vehicle will not be listed as a cat a,b,c,d, because you have not made a claim on the damage to your car only the one you hit.
Vehicles are only listed as a right off when an insurance company have paid out on them. As your insurance have not paid out on your car they have no interest in the vehicle.
Your insurance can be transferred onto your new car but you may find that they charge a considerable amount for this. Your insurance company now view you as a high risk and will want to get some money back off you, this time round or on your next policy.
Also if you are paying for your insurance in instalments don%26#039;t stop paying. If you do your insurance will be cancelled and they will take you to court for the rest of the money. They will do this because you have made a claim and they want all the money now. If you stop paying half way through a policy normally they would just cancel it. You could find, a few weeks down the road, that your new car is being taken off you by a traffic officer under sec165 road traffic act for no insurance.
Hope this helps.

Has anybody heard about a hotel recommending a taxi that ended up being illegal, then getting sued over it?
The hotel got sued because they recommended a taxi/limo that was illegal then it got into an accident.
The cab didn%26#039;t have the right insurance according to city code. Therefore making it an illegal cab. When the lawyers got a hold of it they did what they always do. Sued everybody involved. Since the hotel referred the person to that cab they were held accountable. If you can provide a link to the story I%26#039;d appreciate it.

I haven%26#039;t heard of it, but it%26#039;s no surprise. Lawyers always go after the deep pockets - and that%26#039;s NOT going to be a cab.

Green p plates?
I%26#039;m from Victoria and i got my P%26#039;s in march this year because i heard the new green P plates were coming into force effective july 1st this year, all was good untill i got sent a letter from vicroads today issueing me green P plates...what does this mean? i thought that if i already had my P%26#039;s i didnt have to get the green ones. I%26#039;m confussed...
Green p plates?
yes im confused as well, my brother also got green p-lates sent to him today wen he thuoght he didnt have to have them, im not quite sure why, but yes u have to have em for a year! blows to the Xtreme doesnt it??
Green p plates?
if you read the accompanying letter it well tell you that you are not apart of this new restriction stuff. the reason we got green p plates is to differentiate us from them. in other words, the green p plates are for the %26#039;old%26#039; p platers - those who got their p%26#039;s before the new restrictions. They%26#039;re very ugly though.
Reply:lol, do not panic. I too got sent green p plates and by looking at vicroads website and the accompanying letter i can divine that all Current Red Platers, including you, must now put green plates up. (1st July 2008 Onwards)
Basically us %26#039;old%26#039; platers still have our 3 year P plate period it%26#039;s just that with the new laws our plates are no longer red but green.
That is all. So you did right in getting in before new laws it%26#039;s just your plates go from red to green and still last 3 years.
Hope this helped.
