I'm sixteen, married, and have a child. Can I just get my license?

Everyone I live with works. I have no way of getting my son to the doctor and going to buy groceries. I have to get my mom to try to take off of work to help me out. Is there anyway possible that they would let me get it?

Not sure how it works in your state but in Texas you can get a hardship license at 15 if you can prove you truly need a car. Try asking the DMV in your state what you can do if you absolutely need a license.
Reply:You can get what they call a %26quot;Provisional License%26quot; It will let you travel between 9am and 9pm for work or school..
Reply:cocacola, what do u think, license for a car
Reply:depends on where you live if you are married then you must be an emancipated minor and should be able to i would call your local dmv and ask them
Reply:first off..why the hell are you maried at 16. Second i would suggest that you do before you mess anyone elses life up.
Reply:yeah!!!!! of course you%26#039;re old enough, you have to have parents consent though cuz ur stiill a minor.
Reply:you would have to look into the laws in your state. Each state has different policies.
Reply:Uhm, how were you able to get married at 16?

I thought that was illegal getting married and a kid.

Have your mom go with you to the drives ed place and talk to them and see if you can work something out.

Good Luck Underage Adult. :)
